Are you stuck on the LG V60 Thinq lock screen due to forgotten PIN, Pattern, or, Password? Don’t worry you’re not alone. We tend to forget the lock screen credentials, especially when using a new one that was never used before.
In this post, we are going to learn how to bypass the lock screen on LG V60 Thinq 5G when locked out –
How to bypass screen lock on LG V60 Thinq 5G LM-V600/ Forgot Password, Pattern, PIN / Locked Out
I’m stuck on the V60 Thinq lock screen. I have forgotten the screen lock password.
First of all, let’s try to recover our phone without a factory reset.
I tried multiple times with different passwords hoping to get an account recovery option in the form of “Forgot Password” or “Google account sign in”, but to no avail.
Only the wait time increased after every few failed attempts.
Unfortunately, we cannot bypass the V60 lock screen without a reset. Now, to perform a hard reset we need to put our V60 into recovery mode.
Let’s power off the phone to access recovery mode.
It’s not letting me power off the phone. An error shows up on the screen – “Unlock the phone to power off”.
The same thing happened when I tried to restart my V60 Thinq.
Now, the only option left is to force restart the phone.
Press & hold the power and volume down keys until the phone restarts.
During the restart, when the “LG V60 Thinq” logo appears on the screen, release the power button for a moment and hold it again. (Don’t leave the volume down key).
Now, keep holding both the buttons until you reach the factory data reset screen.
We are now in recovery mode. In this mode, we need to use the volume rocker and power keys for navigation and selection respectively.
Use the volume down button to move down from “No(Exit)” to “Yes”. Now click the power key once.
Again go down from “No” to “Yes” and press the power button once.
The phone data is getting wiped. We need to wait for a few minutes.
After a while, I’ve reached the “Welcome” page.
Tap the “Forward button” to proceed.
Hit “Next” on the “New Second Screen” page.
Now, connect your V60 to the internet and hit “Next”.
The phone will stay on the “Checking for updates” screen for a while.
Choose “Don’t copy” when you reach the “Copy apps & data” screen.
Now, it brings me to the password verification page. As I don’t remember the screen lock password. I’ll choose “USE MY GOOGLE ACCOUNT INSTEAD”.
This time we are on the Google verification page. To get past this screen we need to sign in to the previously synced Google account on this device.
In case, you don’t remember the Google account credentials, follow the below hack to bypass the FRP lock –
How to bypass Google Verification on LG V60 Thinq 5G without a computer LM-V600 2021
NOTE: If your LG V60 is on Android 11, you need to downgrade it first to Android 10 as per the below tutorial –
We are going to use the keyboard to bypass the Google verification.
To bring out the keyboard, tap the blank space – “Email or Phone”.
Now, hit the “small keyboard icon” at the bottom-right corner of the keyboard.
A small window pops out from the bottom of the screen – “Default keyboard”.
Hit the “Settings” option.
Now, we have reached the “Manage keyboards” page. Click on “Gboard”.
Now, touch the “3 dots icon” and choose “Help & feedback”.
On the Support page, select the 1st option – “Delete or disable apps on Android”.
On the following page, look for the option – “Tap to go to Application Settings” and click on it.
This will bring you to the “App Info” screen. Scroll down and select “Settings”.
Now, we are on the “App Info” page of the “Settings app”.
Tap “Open” to launch Settings.
In Settings, choose “Fingerprints” and hit “Next”.
This takes us to the “Select Screen Lock” page.
We can now set up a new PIN, Pattern, or Password.
Let’s add an easy-to-remember PIN 1234
Enter the PIN twice and click “OK”.
We have successfully changed the screen lock. We are going to use this new PIN to bypass the Google verification.
Now, go back to the first page of the setup wizard.
Keep hitting back until you reach the “Welcome” screen.
Now, tap the “forward arrow” and then hit “Next” on the following page.
Choose “Don’t copy” to move ahead.
We are once again on the screen lock verification page. This time it’s asking for the screen PIN.
Verify with the PIN 1234 and tap “OK”.
The PIN verification was successful. We have bypassed the Google verification.
Use the “Skip” option to skip the Google account setup.
Now, accept the Google services terms and conditions.
Tap “OK” on the following page.
Skip the AT&T account setup as of now.
Finally, tap the “I agree” checkboxes on the “Legal Documents” screen and hit “DONE”.
We have successfully reached the LG V60 Thinq home screen thus bypassing the lock screen.
