LG K92 offers screen lock in the form of Fingerprint, PIN, Pattern, or Password. The fingerprint is a secondary lock backed up with a primary lock in case of failure.
However, the primary screen lock i.e. PIN, Pattern, or password does not offer a recovery option in case you forget it. It’s a good practice to note down the screen lock credentials somewhere while setting up.
If you’re already locked out on your K92, we need to check out our recovery options. First of all, let’s try to restore our K92 without doing a reset. So, let’s proceed with the troubleshooting –
How to bypass LG K92 lock screen without reset
I’ve forgotten the lock screen password on my K92.
Let’s see if we can get an account recovery option after multiple retries.
After 5 failed attempts there is a 30 second wait time.
The wait time keeps on increasing after every few failed attempts.
There is no account recovery option in the form of “Forgot password” or “Google account sign-in”.
This makes one thing clear – there is no way to bypass the lock screen on K92 without reset.
Now, our only option left is to turn off the phone, boot into recovery mode, and hard reset the phone.
It’s not letting me power off the phone. The screen reads – “Unlock the phone to power off”.
It’s not allowing to even restart the phone without unlocking the screen.
Our last resort is a force restart.
Press and hold the Volume Down and Power buttons until the phone restarts.
During the restart, when LG K92 5G appears on the screen, release the power key for a moment and hold it again.
Keep holding the keys until you reach the factory data reset screen. In the whole process, never release the volume down button.
We are now in Recovery Mode. Use the volume rocker to move up and down. Press the Power key to select an option.
To reset the phone, we need to go down from “No(Exit)” to “Yes”. Press the volume down key and then the power key to select “Yes”.
Repeat the above steps.
Again move down from “No(Exit)” to “Yes” and press the power button to initiate factory data reset.
The phone is getting erased now. We need to wait for a few minutes.
Now, we have landed on the Welcome screen of the setup wizard.
Use the forward button to move ahead.
Hit “Next” on the “New Second Screen” page.
Now, connect to the internet via Wifi or Mobile data.
It’s checking for updates. This process may take a few minutes time.
This time we are on the “Copy apps and data” page. Hit “Don’t copy”.
Now, we have landed on the Screen lock verification page. As I don’t remember the lock screen password, I’ll use the alternate option – “USE MY GOOGLE ACCOUNT INSTEAD”.
This brings us to the Google verification screen. We need to sign-in with the previously synced Google account on this device.
Sign in to your Google account and follow the on-screen prompts to finish the setup wizard.
In case, you don’t remember the Google account credentials, follow the latest hack to bypass the Google lock on LG K92.

On Google’s “Verify your account” page, tap the blank field “Email or phone” to pull out the keyboard.
Now, hit the “Keyboard icon” at the bottom-right corner of the keyboard.
This brings up the “Default keyboard” window. Click “Settings” to move ahead.
Now, we have reached the “Manage keyboards” page. Select the first option i.e. Gboard.
This takes us to the Gboard Settings page.
Hit the “3 dots” menu icon on the top-right and select “Help & feedback”.
Now, we are on the support page.
Tap “Describe your issue” and type delete.
Select the first search result – “Delete or disable apps on Android”.
On the next page, look for “Tap to go to Application Settings” and select this option.
This takes us to the “App Info” page.
Scroll down and select “Settings”.
Hit “Open” to launch the “Settings” app.
Select the 2nd option on this page i.e. “Fingerprints”.
Hit “Next” to proceed further.
Now, we are on the “Select screen lock” page.
Here we can add a lock screen pattern, PIN, or Password.
This new screen lock will replace the old lock.
Let’s set up an easy-to-remember screen PIN.
I’m adding 1234 as the screen lock PIN.
A confirmation text flashed on the screen – “Screen lock has been changed”.
Let’s use this newly added PIN to bypass the Google lock screen.
Use the back button to go back to the first page of the setup wizard.
Keep going back until you reach the “Welcome” page of the setup wizard.
Once again we are on the Welcome screen.
Use the forward arrow to move ahead.
Hit “Next” on the “New Second Screen” page.
Click “Don’t copy” to proceed further.
Once again we are on the screen lock verification page.
We are going to verify with the screen PIN we added a few steps ago i.e. 1234
Type 1234 and hit OK or Done.
We have successfully verified the Screen PIN.
There is a “Skip” option on the Google Sign-in page. Either skip the Google account setup or add an account. The previously synced account is not required anymore.
Accept Google services Terms and conditions.
Tap “OK” on the “Review additional apps” page.
Accept the AT&T account setup request.
Finally, we are on the last page of the setup wizard i.e. the “Legal Documents” page.
Tick the “I agree” checkbox and tap “More”.
Tick all the checkboxes on the Legal documents page and click “Done” to finish the Setup wizard.
We have successfully landed on the LG K92 home screen thus bypassing the lock screen.
