To bypass the Google account on LG K51, we need to use the small keyboard settings icon on the keyboard. It’s marked in the above screenshot.
This keyboard icon is found on LG phones running on Android 10. However, on few Android 10 LG phones, this keyboard icon is missing.
On such phones, we need to use a different method to bypass Google verification.
In this post, we are going to use a Bluetooth headset to bypass FRP. You’ll need another phone to lock a SIM. We need to insert this locked SIM in K51 during the bypass procedure –
Google’s Factory Reset Protection (FRP) comes into effect when you hard reset the phone via recovery mode.
After doing a factory reset using the volume down + power button on my K51, I’ve reached the “Welcome” screen.
Let’s proceed to set up the device.
Tap the “Forward button” to move ahead.
Hit “Next” on the “New Second Screen” page.
Now, we need to connect our K51 to the internet using Wifi or Mobile data.
The connection is now established, it’s checking for updates. We need to wait for a while.
The next page is “Copy apps & data”.
Hit “Don’t copy” to move ahead.
It brings us to the screen lock verification page. We need to verify using the correct pattern. I don’t remember the lock screen pattern.
I’ll choose another option – “USE MY GOOGLE ACCOUNT INSTEAD”.
Now, we have reached the Google verification page. It’s asking to sign in with the previously synced Google account on this device.
Let’s use the Bluetooth method to bypass the Google lock on K51 without using a computer –
How to bypass Google verification on LG K51 using Bluetooth Headset without computer 2021 Android 10/ No keyboard icon
To bypass via Bluetooth method, we need a locked SIM card.
Use another phone to lock a SIM. I’m using LG Stylo 6 & MetroPCS SIM for this purpose.
Let’s open the Settings app and hit the “Search settings” bar.
Enter the term SIM in the search bar and choose “Set up SIM card lock”.
Now, tap “Lock SIM Card”.
The default MetroPCS PIN is 1234
Enter the PIN code and tap “OK”. The SIM card lock is now enabled.
This PIN code varies from carrier to carrier. The default SIM PIN for Cricket is 1111
Now, we are going to insert this locked SIM in LG K51 –
Use a SIM ejector tool to remove your K51 SIM tray.
Place the locked SIM in the SIM slot as shown above.
Now, the phone is asking for SIM PIN. Enter code 1234 and click the tick icon.
There appears a “Not signed in” notification on the screen.
To unlock the screen, swipe down the screen starting from the “Not signed in” notification towards the bottom of the screen.
Follow the arrow in the above screenshot.
This brings a few quick access icons to the top of the screen.
Long-press the Bluetooth icon to open the Bluetooth page.
Turn on Bluetooth and get a Bluetooth headset or Earbud.
I’m using Bluetooth wireless earbuds “PTron Bassbuds Pro”.
Pair the Bluetooth Headset/Earbud with your LG K51.
Now, press and hold the touch area on the earbud/call button on the Bluetooth headset for 3 seconds and release it.
This will launch Google assistant on your K51.
Say open settings in the mic as shown above.
The voice command launches the Settings app.
NOTE: After a new update by Google, the Google Assistant doesn’t launch the Settings app when you say “Open settings”.
Now, you need to do a few additional steps as follows to reach the Settings app –
I sent the voice command open settings, but nothing happened.
Now, tap the “Profile icon” on the top-right corner above “Open settings” as shown above.
When the dropdown appears, select “Help”.
Type delete in the “Describe your issue” search bar.
Click on the search result – “Delete or disable apps on Android”.
On the following page, look for the link -“Tap to go to Application Settings” and click on it.
This will bring you to the “App Info” screen.
Scroll down and choose “Settings”.
Hit “Open” to launch the Settings app.
On the Settings page, Go to “Fingerprints” and tap “Next”.
This brings us to the “Select Screen Lock” page.
We are going to use this page to add a new screen lock.
You can set up a PIN, Pattern, or Password.
I’m adding 1234 as the new screen PIN.
Enter the PIN 2 times and click “OK” to confirm.
The screen lock has been changed. Now, we are going to use this new PIN to bypass the Google account.
Let’s go back to the first page using the back key.
Keep going back until you reach the “Welcome” page.
Tap the “forward arrow” and hit “Next” on the New second screen page.
Choose “Don’t copy” on the following page.
After the recent LG K51 June 2021 security update, we don’t get the screen lock verification page after tapping “Don’t Copy”. It directly brings us to the “Verify your Account” screen.
If your K51 is on the older software version and you get the screen lock verification page, then verify with the PIN 1234 and follow the on-screen prompts to finish the setup wizard.
As I didn’t get the screen lock verification page, I cannot enter the new PIN 1234.
To get back to that screen, we are going to hard reset the phone via recovery mode.
Power off your K51 to put it into recovery mode.
Long- press the power button and choose “Power off”.
Once your phone is turned off, press and hold the volume down + power keys to boot the phone.
As soon as “LG K51” appears on the screen, release the power key for a moment and hold it again. Do not leave the volume down button.
Now, keep pressing both the keys until you reach the “Factory data reset” screen.
We are in Recovery Mode. Let’s use the volume rocker and power button to reset the phone.
Go down from “No(Exit)” to “Yes” with the volume down key and then press the power button once.
Again move down from “No” to “Yes” and tap the power key to begin factory data reset.
The phone data is getting wiped. We need to wait for a few minutes.
We are once again on the “Welcome” page.
Tap the “Forward button” and hit “Next” on the “New Second Screen” page.
Connect your phone to the internet and wait for a while, it’s checking for updates.
Now, hit “Don’t Copy” when your reach the “Copy apps & data” page.
This time it brings us to the screen lock verification page. Let’s verify with the PIN 1234
Enter the PIN code and tap “OK”.
The PIN verification was successful. We have bypassed the Google Verification page.
This time it allows us to “Skip” the Google account setup. Tap “Skip” to proceed further.
Accept Google services terms and conditions in the next step.
Tap “OK” on the “Review Additional Apps” page.
Tick the “I agree” checkbox when you reach the “Legal documents” page and click “Done”.
We have successfully landed on the LG K51 home screen thus bypassing the Google account.
If stuck at any stage, feel free to leave a comment below.
I cannot get the phone to accept the screen lock pin, password or pattern change and I tried all 3 ways. after pressing the OK to confirm the change it either goes back to the Select Screen Lock screen or a message comes up that the app has stopped running. Also i dont know if this has any bearing on the issue but after the welcome screen I do not get the second screen choice page.
Your LG K51 must be on Android 11. You need to downgrade the firmware to Android 10 to bypass the Google account –
