LG K40 Fortnite apk / Is LG K40 compatible with Fortnite?

The recommended System Requirements for Fortnite are Android Oreo with 64-bit architecture. LG K40 fulfills both these requirements. However, it is also recommended that the phone should have at least 3GB RAM and the GPU should be at least Adreno 530 or higher.

K40 comes with 2GB RAM and Andreno 506. Let’s do the compatibility test by installing the Fortnite apk on LG K40 as follows –

I’m going to the Download Fortnite app from the official Epic Games website and install it on my LG K40.

 

I’m using the Chrome browser.

I searched for “Fortnite Download” and selected the first link on the search results page, which belongs to Epic Games.

To download Fortnite we need to Download the “Epic Games App”.

Chrome needs storage access to download files. I’ve approved the request.

 

The “FortniteInstaller-4.0.4.apk” file is ready to download.

EpicGamesApp.apk file is downloaded. We have to open the file for installation.

 

 

As this apk file is downloaded outside the Play Store, we need to give permission to “Install unknown apps” as shown above.

 

Now we can “Install” and “Open” the Epic Games app.

Epic Games says “DEVICE NOT SUPPORTED”

Quite disappointing.

Even with such a fast processor, we cannot play Fortnite on K40 due to the limited amount of RAM.

It says ” Fortnite requires 4GB of RAM”.

The rest of the conditions are fulfilled which is Android Oreo or higher with 64-bit architecture.

Unofficial Modded Fortnite APK for LG K40

 

I’ve downloaded the Unofficial Modded Fortnite apk from xda forums. It fakes the Device check.

Let’s try to install this apk on our K40.

 

The apk simply fails to install. It throws an error “App not installed.

I even deleted the Epic Games Installed but it still fails to install.
