There are 3 different variants of LG K22 in the USA. First came the factory unlocked version and later it was released by Boost Mobile & US Cellular. It’s an entry-level Android smartphone & comes with Android 10 out of the box.
On LG K22, the factory reset protection becomes effective, when you hard reset your phone using the volume down + power keys (via Recovery Mode). After the reset, it asks for the previously synced Google account to complete the device setup.
In this post, we are going to use the latest and easiest 2022 hack to get past the Google lock without a computer –
I was locked out on my LG K22. So, I did a hard reset using the volume down + power keys.
After the reset, my phone has reached the “Welcome” screen.
Let’s tap the forward arrow to proceed.
The next page is “New Second Screen”. Hit “Next” to move ahead.
In the next step, we need to connect our K22 to a Wifi network.
After getting connected, it’s checking for updates. Let’s wait for a while.
Afterward, it brings me to the “Copy apps & data” screen. Let’s choose “Don’t copy” to move ahead.
Now, I have reached the screen lock verification page. I don’t remember the correct password. I’ll choose the alternate option – “USE MY GOOGLE ACCOUNT INSTEAD”.
This time we are on the Google account verification screen. It’s asking to verify with the previously synced Google account on this device.
