While setting up a lock screen password/pin/pattern on LG K20 / K20 v / K20 Plus, we get an option to add an extra layer of security in the form of secure-startup.
If you enable this option, on every restart you need to enter the secure-startup PIN /pattern/password/knock code. Without unlocking the secure-startup screen you will not receive any calls, texts, notifications & alarm sounds.
You can see I’m stuck on the Secure start-up Pattern lock screen on my K20 Plus.
It gives us 30 attempts to enter the correct Pattern/Password/PIN/Knock Code.
After every 10 failed attempts, we need to restart the phone and try again.
On the Final attempt, it gives a warning – One more incorrect attempt & the device will be reset and all the internal storage files will be deleted.
There is no need to waste so much time until 30 attempts to reset the phone. We can hard reset the phone directly via the recovery mode. Let’s see how to do that –
How to bypass the Secure startup on LG K20, K20 v & K20 Plus lgmp260
When on the secure startup screen –
Long-Press the power button to get the power options on the screen
Select Power off to shut down the phone.
To boot your K20 /K20 v /K20 Plus into recovery mode –
- Power off the phone.
- Press and hold the volume down and power keys to turn on the phone.
- When the phone vibrates or when the LG logo appears on the screen, release the power button, and hold it again. Don’t leave the volume down button.
- Now, keep holding both the keys until your phone is on the “Factory data reset” page.
- The above Factory data reset screen is the Recovery Mode.
Let’s hard reset the phone using the recovery mode.
Move down from “No(Exit)” to “Yes” by using the volume down button. Now, click the power button to confirm your selection.
Again move down from No(Exit) to “Yes” and hit the Power button.
This will initiate the Factory data reset.
The phone storage is getting erased now. Wait for a few minutes until you’re on the Welcome screen.
When on the “Welcome” page, hit the forward arrow.
In the next step, we need to set the internet connection via Wi-Fi or Mobile data.
My phone is connected to the internet via Wi-Fi. Let’s click “NEXT” to proceed further.
On the “Set up your LGMP260” page, select “Set up as new”.
It brings us to Google’s “Verify your account” screen. It’s asking to sign-in with the last-synced Google account on this device.
If you remember your Google account credentials, enter it now and finish the setup wizard.
If you don’t remember the Google account Email & Password, follow the below hack to bypass Google verification on LG K20 / K20 v / K20 Plus.
How to bypass Google Verification on LG K20 without computer / LG K20 Plus FRP Bypass 2020 lgmp260
First of all, Go back from the “Verify your account” page to the Welcome screen. Use the back button to keep moving back.
We are now on the Welcome page. In this step, we need to use both the hands –
- Press and hold the “Emergency Call” option.
- Keep holding “Emergency Call” and tap the “Forward Arrow” multiple times in quick succession.
- This step will either crash the setup wizard or bring you to the AutoNavi & location page. Either is fine.
You can also refer to the below video –
Tap “AGREE” when the “Improve location accuracy?” pop-up appears on the screen.
When prompted to turn on location access for Google apps, hit “Yes”.
Tap “NEXT” on the “AutoNavi & location” page to proceed further.
Finally, we are on the Legal documents page. This is the last page of the setup wizard.
Tick the “I agree” checkboxes and click “DONE”.
To skip the “Recommended apps” page, hit “LATER” and then “OK” as visible in the above screenshot.
Choose your desired, Home screen launcher style and select “OK”.
We have successfully landed on the LG K20 Plus home screen thus bypassing the secure startup screen.
If stuck at any point, feel free to leave a comment below.
So I was wondering if bypassing the Google account logins me back into my old google account or if it jus bypasses. Will my phone still have all of my old data? Will it have my Google account and passwords for all of my apps?
You’ll lose the old data
outstanding thank you
