1. Is the LG K40 Waterproof / Water-Resistant?
No, LG K40 in the USA is neither water-resistant nor waterproof.
Waterproof phones have usually unibody design with a non-removable battery. K40 does have a non-removable battery door but all the ports are exposed. This makes it prone to water damage.
You should always use your LG K40 with a case to save it from exposure to water and shocks.
The European variant of LG K40 is MIL-STD-810 compliant. That makes it a rugged and water-resistant phone.
2. Is the LG K40 a Good Phone?/ How good is the LG K40?
LG K40 is an awesome phone in its price range of around $80 for a new phone.
It’s like a Mini Stylo 5. It uses the same processor as LG Stylo 5. It has got first in segment features such as NFC, LED Notification Light & Selfie Flash.
When compared to K30, it feels like an all-new phone from a higher segment.

3. Is the LG K40 Qi Enabled / compatible with wireless charging?
Wireless Charging is not found even in LG Stylo 5 so we shouldn’t expect K40 to get this feature.
However, the good thing is that we can enable Wireless Charging quite easily on LG K40.
To make K40 Qi-enabled, we need a wireless charger receiver and a charging pad.
4. Is the LG K40 MHL Compatible?
MHL cable enables wired Screen Mirroring without an internet connection. Being wired it also offers a more stable connection with negligible frame rate loss.
The bad news is that nowadays most of the phones are not compatible with MHL / Slimport including LG K40. You’ve resort on Google Chromecast for Wireless Screen Mirroring over a Wifi connection.
5. Is the LG K40 5G Compatible / a 5G Phone?
5G is a very new technology. As far as LG is concerned, only V50 & V60 are 5G compatible as of now.
6. Is the LG K40 Compatible with Fortnite / Good for Gaming?
For Good gaming performance along with the processor, RAM plays a big role in smooth Gameplay. K40 uses a decent 1.8 GHz Octa-Core CPU coupled with 2GB RAM.

7. Is the LG K40 a Smartphone?
A feature phone is also known as a dumb phone. It doesn’t have a catalog of 3rd party apps like Android or iOS. You’ve to mostly resort to pre-installed apps and multitasking is not possible.
LG K40 is an Android Smartphone with a powerful 1.8 GHz Octa-Core Processor and 2GB RAM. It runs on the Android Pie operating system.

8. How big is the LG K40? / What size is the LG K40?
LG K40 is quite handy. It’s neither too big nor too small. It’s bigger than Aristo 4 and smaller than LG Stylo 5.
Due to its 18:9 aspect ratio, we get a big 5.7-inch screen in a compact size. The K40 dimensions are 6.02” x 2.83” x 0.32”.
9. Is LG K40 Dual SIM?
LG K40 is a Single-SIM Android Smartphone. The SIM tray located on the left. You can fit in 1 SIM Card and 1 Memory Card in the SIM tray.

LG K40 was announced in February 2019 in the USA.
MetroPCS & Factory Unlocked Version were first to launch in the month of July 2019.
LG K40 T Mobile was released 2 months later in September 2019.
11. How much is the LG K40?
An LG K40 is going to cost you around $150-$180 if you buy the phone from the Official Carrier website. You can get a new LG K40 for around $80 at eBay.

On LG K30 the power button is on the back which doubles as a fingerprint sensor.

I highly unlikely that K40 would get Android 10 in the near future. Many of the K40 variants were launched with Oreo and later got a Pie Update.
2 Major updates for a budget phone seems unlikely looking at the previous record of LG.

16. Where is Flashlight on LG K40?
To turn on Flashlight you’ve to pull down the notification panel and tap on the “Flashlight” shortcut as shown above.
Tap it once again to turn it off. The Rear Camera Flash is used as Flashlight.
17. Where is do not disturb on LG K40?
Open “Settings” located on your LG K40 home screen as shown above.
Select the “Sound Tab” and tap “Do not disturb”.
18. Where is NFC on LG K40?

To turn on NFC on your K40, Go to Settings > Network > NFC as shown above.
19. Where to buy LG K40?
There are 6 different variants of K40 in the USA. They are K40 MetroPCS, T-Mobile, Factory Unlocked, AT&T, Spectrum Mobile & US Cellular.
You can either purchase it from the respective official carrier website on you can buy it for much lesser from eBay. I bought my New LG K40 for $90 from eBay a few months ago.
