On LG K20, K20 Plus & K20 v there are various options to block texts and calls from unwanted senders. You can block texts from certain numbers, unknown numbers, or set a word/digit filter to block text messages. There is a blocked box to store spam messages.
Similarly, you can block a call from private numbers, certain specified numbers, or set a digit filter to block calls.

How to Block Number on LG K20, K20 Plus & K20 v
1. LG K20 Block Phone Numbers via Call Log
If you received a call and you wish to block that number, you can do it directly from the call log.
Hit the “call dialer” located on your LG K20 home screen
Long-Press the number you wish to block.
Among the listed options, tap “Block number” to do the needful.
Select “BLOCK” when a confirmation pop-up appears. This action would block all calls and texts from this number. This number will be added to the “Blocked Numbers” list.
To unblock the number we just blocked, Long-Press it again and select “Unblock number”.
2. Block Number / Contact via Call Settings
To block a number from your contacts list or if you wish to add a new number to the blocked numbers list then follow this method.
Go to Settings < Network Tab < Call
In Call, select “Call blocking & Decline with message”.
Now select the 2nd option i.e “Blocked numbers”.
Tap the “+” icon located at the top-left corner.
The listed options are Contacts, Call logs & New number. You can either add a new number or choose a number from Contacts or Call logs to block.
Let’s block a “New number”.
I’ve blocked +1 234-567-890. This number is added to the “Blocked numbers” list.
3. Decline an incoming call with a Message
If you are busy right now and you just wish to decline an incoming call, it’s better to decline with a message.
Again Go to “Settings < Call < Call Blocking & Decline with message”
Select the first option i.e. “Decline with message”.
You can choose a text from the listed options or add a new message as per your liking.
4. Add a Digit Filter for Incoming Calls
On a broader range, we can block calls starting or ending with certain digits.
Again Go to Settings < Call < Call block & Decline with message.
Select the 3rd option, Digit filter.
Hit the “+” icon to add a new number to this filter.
Choose the “Match condition” as shown above.
I’ve blocked all calls starting with +123.
5. Reject all Calls from Private Numbers
The last option on the “Call blocking & Decline with message” page is “Private number”.
Turn it on to reject calls from private numbers.
How to Block Texts on LG K20 v, K20 Plus & K20
1. Block directly from the Text Message Screen
To block texts on LG K20, you can do it directly from the text message screen.
Open the Messaging App, and open the unwanted text message as shown above.
This text message is sent from “1017”
Hit the “3 dots” icon located at the top-right corner and select “Block number” from the dropdown.
Along with blocking, you also get an option to delete all the messages from this number.
If you wish to delete the messages, tick the checkbox and hit “Block” as shown above.
2. Message Blocking via Text Settings
We can also block texts via Message Blocking settings in the Messaging app.
Open the Messaging app on your K20.
Tap the “3 dots” icon and select “Settings”
On the “Settings” page, select “Message blocking”.
Tap the first option i.e “Blocked numbers”.
Choose a number from Contacts, Call logs or add a new number to the blocked numbers list.
You won’t receive calls and texts from the blocked number.
3. Add a Word/Digit Filter to block incoming text messages
If you wish to block texts on a broader level, it can be done by setting up a word or digit filter.
In the Messaging app, Go to “Message blocking” and select “Word filter”.
Select the “+” icon to add a new word.
Add all offensive/spam words to this word filter list and hit “Save”.
The blocked messages are stored in the “Blocked box”. It’s like a spam folder.
4. Block Texts from all unknown numbers
You can also block texts from all unknown numbers.
Tap the 3rd option, “Block unknown number” on the “Message blocking” page to enable it.
