LG K51 stuck on Metro/T-Mobile/Startup/boot logo screen- how to fix

What to do when your LG K51 is soft-bricked and stuck on the startup screen such as Metro, T-mobile, Android is starting, or the boot logo screen? This usually happens due to a failed system update or after a restart due to some software glitch.

If the issue is minor we can fix it with a force restart/factory reset. However, if the phone is bricked and unable to reach the Recovery mode, we need to flash a stock firmware using the LGUP flash tool.

LG K51 was released in November 2020 with Android 10 out of the box. In less than a year, in October 2021 it’s updated to Android 11.

It’s quite surprising as only a few top-of-the-line LG devices have received the Android 11 update as of now. The Stylo 6 is still running on Android 10, even though it’s more popular and belongs to a segment higher than K51.

To download the K51 OTA software update we need to open the Settings app.

Scroll down and select “System”.

LG K51 Firmware Downgrade Android 11 to Android 10 for FRP bypass

The LG K51 from MetroPCS & T-Mobile is now updated to Android 11. After this new update, the old FRP bypass method no longer works.

There is a new Google bypass method for LG K51 Android 11. However, even after bypassing the Google verification screen, it reset the device automatically at the last stage, after reaching the home screen.

After completing the device setup wizard, an error appears on the screen for a moment – “Factory Reset is proceeded by server policy” & the phone resets on its own. After the reset, it again brings you to the “Welcome” page of the setup wizard.
