Blu View 3 Forgot PIN, password, pattern/locked out – fix

You can see I’m stuck on the Blu View 3 lock screen. I do not remember the correct password.

Unfortunately, you cannot bypass the lock screen without a reset. Even after multiple failed attempts, you do not get an account recovery option in the form of “forgot password” or “Google account sign in”.

The only way to reach the Blue View 3 home screen is a hard factory reset with the volume up + power button. After the reset, you also need to verify with the previously synced Google account. We are going to bypass the lock screen as well as the FRP lock –

Let’s turn off the device to enter recovery mode.

Long-press the power button and select “Power off” as shown above.

Now, press and hold the volume up + power button.

 

This will bring you to a black screen with 2 options – “Recovery Mode” & “Normal Boot”.

Move up and down with the volume up key and select an option with the volume down button.

Choose “Recovery Mode” with the volume up button. Now, click the volume down key once.

 

It brings me to the “No command” screen.

To bypass this page, we are again going to use the volume up &  power button.

Press & hold the power button. Keep it pressed and tap the volume up button once. 

Release both the keys when you see the “Android Recovery” screen.

 

We are now in the Blu View 3 Recovery Mode.

Use the volume rocker to move up & down and select an option with the power button.

Go down from “Reboot system now” to “Wipe data/factory reset”. Now click the power button once.

 

Again move down from “Cancel” to “Factory data reset” and then press the power button.

Once the data wipe is complete, click the power button to reboot your phone.

The hard reset takes a few minutes.

 

After a while, It brings me to the “START” screen.

Let’s click “START” to begin the device setup.

 

Now, connect your phone to the internet using Wifi or Mobile data.

The phone is connected to the internet and it’s getting ready. This process takes a few minutes.

The next screen is “Copy apps & data”. To proceed further we are going to select the “Don’t copy” option.

Now, I’m once again stuck on the “Verify Password” screen. But there is another option this time – “Use my Google account instead”.

 

 

 

I do not remember the lock screen password or the previously synced Google account.

To bypass the FRP lock, go back to the first page with the back button.

 

 

Now, click the “Emergency Call” button.

On the phone dialer, there is “EMERGENCY INFORMATION” on the top. Hit it 2 times.

On the following screen, there is an edit icon in the top-right corner. Click on it.

 

 

Now, select “Name – Owner” and then the “Profile icon”. Please refer to the above screenshot.

 

When the dropdown opens, pick the lower option – “Choose an image”.

We are now on the “Recent” page. Hit the “3 bar” icon on the top.

 

 

Long-press on “Drive” or “Photos”.

This will bring you to the “App Info” screen.

Now, select the 2nd option “Permissions”.

Hit the “Search icon” and search the term settings

 

Scroll down to reach the bottom of the screen. Now, click on “Settings – App Info”.

On the next page, hit “OPEN” to launch the Settings app.

 

 

On the Settings screen, go to “Apps” > “VIEW ALL 40 APPS”.

 

 

Now, disable “Android Setup” and “Google Play Services”.

Click on “Android Setup” and then hit the “FORCE STOP” button.

 

Go one step back and now open Google Play Services.

 

Hit the “DISABLE” button.

 

 

After disabling the 2 apps, go 2 steps back to the Settings page.

 

 

Hit the back button 2 times.

 

Now, go to “Accessibility” > “Accessibility Menu”.

 

Turn on the “Accessibility Menu Shortcut”. Click “ALLOW” to activate this shortcut button.

 

The shortcut will appear at the bottom-right corner. We will use it later.

Hit the back button multiple times to land on the “START” page.

 

On the “Hi There” screen, click on the “Accessibility Menu Shortcut” button.

Now, tap on “Assistant”.

 

 

When the Google Assistant window opens, tap the “bottom-left icon”. You can refer to the above screenshot.

Now, it says – “Google Play services required”. Click on “Settings” to proceed further.

 

Tap “ENABLE” to turn on the Google Play Services app.

Now, again hit the back key to reach the first page.

 

Tap “START” to move ahead.

 

This time we are on the “Copy apps & data” screen.

When you reach this page, tap the back button once.

 

This will bring you to the “Connect to Wifi” screen.

Choose the bottom-left option – “Set up offline”.

Click “CONTINUE” to proceed further.

 

We have successfully bypassed the Google account on Blu View 3.

Now, just follow the on-screen prompts to complete the setup wizard.

 

 

Hit “Accept” on the Google Services page.

Skip the face unlock & screen lock setup as of now.

 

Hit “ACCEPT AND CONTINUE” on the Tracfone terms and conditions page.

This brings us to the Blu View 3 home screen thus bypassing the lock screen password.

 

 

Now, let’s disable the accessibility menu shortcut.

Launch the Settings app and go to “Accessibility” > “Accessibility Menu”.

 

Turn off the shortcut button as shown above.
